Bestway 1829: This is a fun vintage knitting pattern from the 1930's with long french style cap, one with stripes, one with Fair Isle band and one with an anchor embroidered on it (or just plain)The pattern says to fit any age, the measurement around the head is 14" streaching to 18" or 20" length when knot is tied in end 22". Bestway A2336: Great vintage knitting pattern for 4 different berets knitted in angora (bunny wool), but can be knitted in any modern 4ply yarn. Work a tension square to see if you need to change needles to get correct tension. The sizes are 2-4 years (12" round brim stretching to 18") and 4-6 years (13" stretching to 20") There are instructions for a striped beret, one with dogs round it, one with flowers and a plain one.We do a small range of angora in several colouers and can give an address of a another supplier in Scotland who makes beautiful angora in a range of colours. You will need 1oz or 30g of angora for 2 of the berets the other two with motifs you will need 30g of modern 4ply plus 24 yards of angora for the modtifs. The pattern calls for vintage 3 ply which is the same as modern 4ply.
