Bestway 1829:  This is fun pattern from the 1930's with long french style cap, one with stripes, one with Fair Isle band and one with an anchor embroidered on it (or just plain)The pattern says to fit any age, the measurement around the head is 14" streaching to 18" or 20" length when knot is tied in end 22". Fabulous to wear - I had one as child in the 1950's.

*Bestway A2336: Great vintage knitting pattern for 4 different berets knitted in angora (bunny wool), but can be knitted in any 4ply yarn. Work a tension square to see if you need to change needles to get correct tension. The sizes are 2-4 years (12" round brim stretching to 18") and 4-6 years (13"  stretching to 20") There are instructions for a striped beret, one with dogs round it, one with flowers and a plain one.We do a small range of angora in several colouers and can give an address of a another supplier in Scotland who makes beautiful angora in a range of colours. You will need 1oz or 30g of angora plus  for 2 of the berets the other two with motifs you will need 30g of modern 4ply plus 24 yards of angora for the modtifs. The pattern calls for vintage 3 ply which is the same as modern 4ply. Work tension square first as all yarns including angora knit up differently and you may need to change your needle size to  insure correct fitting. 1940's pattern

Emu 3176: Great poncho with or without hood for children and adults. This pattern has a fabulous range of sizes and will fit from 24" chest to 40" chest, and is knitted in double knitting or chunky wool work a tensions quare to find which  make is suitable as all chunky yarns are different and onit to a different ply. siz 8 and 5 imperial needles are used that it 4mm and 5.5mm and there are 11 stitches to 2" in double kniting and 8 stitches to 2" in chunky (double  double).Pattern in great condition.
