Copley 1928: Vintage Tyrolean style cardigan with cable work. Ladyship 4656: Lovely vintage knitting pattern for an aran tabbard or over dress - back in fashion in 2010! This pattern is from the early 1970's and would look great over jeans or slacks.  To fit 32"-38" knitted in Aran. Length 31.5" -32", this is adjustable so you could make as a shorter top. Robin 1041: Another great winter jumper, great with jeans or slacks. From the late 1950's this thick doubel knitting pattern is for 34", 36" and 38"  bust. Knitted on large needles imperial 3 and 5 (6.5mm and 6mm)This wool was thicker than modern double knitting, but not as thick as modern chunky, an aran weight may well suit this pattern, try a tension square first.
