Bairnswear 164: Fabulous vintage bonnet knitting pattern 1930s. This is a lovely pattern from the late 1930s which carried on into the 1940s. There are 6 different sets, one with shoes rather than bootees. Measurement round face from 12" - 14". Some in vintage 3ply and a couple in vintage 2ply. Bairnswear Minna:Fabulous vintage bonnet knitting pattern 1930s. This is a lovely pattern from the late 1930s which carried on into the 1940s.
This is the one form the cover of above pattern 164. Note the long tops on these, so popular in at the time, to keep little legs warm. Round brim 13 inches knitted in baby shetland 3ply, so for same size try modern 4ply, smaller size work in modern 3ply - tiny new born try 2ply - very dainty.

Bestway 2705. Here we have a stunning bonnet pattern for that really retro look! This pattern is in super condition and the bonnets will fit 12 to 24 months in 3ply. If knitted in pure new 3ply wool they will com up a little smaller and fit from 6 months (depending on babies head size!) I have knitted them in 2ply modern pure new wool and they fitted a new born.
