Lavenda 1039: Fabulous 1940's pattern, in superb condition. Twin set with fair isle bands at cuffs and waist. To fit bust 31"-33" knitted in vintage 3ply. Lister N1339:  A double pattern! Ladies fair isle jumper in sizes 36-38 inch bust and childs size 28 inch chest in double knitting.  This vintage pattern comes from the 1960's. *Penelope 1379: Great fair isle knitting pattern from the 1940's knitted in vintage 2ply which was similar to vintage 3ply so try modern 4ply in tensins square and a change of needles if needed. To fit 34" bust. To get lagrer size change needles up or use thicker ply wool. Remember if you do this to allow for more wool. Fair Isle was so popular in the war years as wool was scarce and garments could be unpicked and used to create colourful new ones using scraps or using left over balls of baby wool. Pattern is worn as can be seen from the scan, but is sound and clean, smal splits at top and bottom of spine.

Robin 306: Classic short sleeved jumper with fair isle bands, great retro look. . This one is knitted in vintage 3ply, so adjust needles and wool if necessary to get size required. To fit bust 33-35 inch bust (4ply on a size larger needles will give you a more generous 36" bust - but work a tenison square first as everyone knits at a different tension as do yarns and needles. This is so easy as the width is changed by using bigger needles with the same no of stitches - no incresing or decreasing. Pattern in great condition. 1940's
