Emu 267: Fabulous vintage knitting pattern for a little jumper knitted in angora - tension is 7st to 1 inch on size imperial 9. As most angoras vary, it is wise to make a tension square first. See wool pages for angora for sale. You can also substitute 4ply for angora, again a tensions square will tell you whether you will need to chang needles size. Golly Wools 10: Great vintage 1950's summer tops in easy patterns, so quick to knit, I remember knitting one of these whilst on a boat ride in the summer of 1959, for my mother! I also knitted them again in the 1960s for work as I worked in a hot factory office, typing for hours on end! These are knitted in double knitting on bigger needles to give a loose, cool fabiric.
