Copley 1180: Vintage tea cosy knitting pattern probably from the later 1940's. There are 3 different styles and looks like it was produced as a Christmas pattern. Speedknit was used, this was more than likely a very thick double knitting as it was knitted on no 4 needles (6mm), may even have been a chunky wool there are tension instructions, so using double knitting double might well work. Design 1 and 3 are knitted and 2 is crochet. In great condition.

Copley 1989: Vintage knitting pattern for 6 tea cosies. Style 1 and 4 are crochet, the other 4 are knitted. vintage 3ply, 4ply and a slightley thicker wool is called for - so try using modern 4ply, double knitting and aran or chunky. Tension instruction included as well as crochet instructions, with the finer plys the wool is worked double. Pattern has a crease and feint trade stamp to front, general age wear a edges and spine.

Emu 6196: Very useful vintage knitting pattern for 6 different tea cosy designs. All knitted from the 1960's. Knitted in a veriety of plys, magnum and tripleknit were very thick chunky wool, there are similar on the market today. Pattern in very good condition, great retro designs.

Penelope K1534: Three tea cosies ladies - Dutch girl is knitted, so is the  bachelor tea cosy with the loops at the top.   The other lady has a crochet skirt as a cosy.All knitted in double knitting. (The little half dolls can be found in antique or charity shops occassionally in the meantime I am trying to find some one who will make some for me. ) Some tea pots have these dolls as part of the hand on the lid - I have few of them, these designs can be made to fit these quite easily.There are other designs on this site where the doll is knitted, this can be done also for these cosies 1950's
